Widely known by Filipinos as Champorado. When other countries have pancakes or waffles for breakfast, Pinoys have this.
This childhood known dish has always been a favorite besides Sopas (creamy macaroni soup) and Lugaw (rice porridge). Usually homemade, it can also be bought just around a Pinoy neighborhood that sells Filipino breakfast varieties. This chocolate porridge won’t be complete without the signature evaporated milk on it.

Back when I was still a kid till now, I enjoy dishes like this. Some think of it as weird but it also goes well with tuyo (dried salted fish); strange food combo right?? Sort of but it compliments each other’s flavor.
For me, my mornings will surely be as nostalgic whenever I am served with this chocolatey hearty bowl.
